The bolts on top of the strut tower that you just took off? They should be really easy. Remember to have cross bar between the tow plates lose those are the last thing to tighten. So, the bolts on the tower should be easy this way and remeber to tighten them in a triangular rotation not just on bolt all the way! Keep the cross member on but not tight then do this to finish the install. thumbsup

I just put one on 4 days ago. I didn't have any problems. At first I thought I might have a problem. I moved things around and the end plates sat nicely over the strut tower. I was able to use my stock battery tie down also. I removed the plastic battery tray so I could move the battery forward. Now I want to paint the stock battery tie down.

Is the front end of your car lifted off the ground?? Is the weight of the car resting on the suspension? Because if not then the strut mount has just fallen lower but will go back up when weight is reapplied onto the suspension. Also put down on the plates very hard and try and get them started!!!

Is the bar hitting anything to keep it from sitting down as low as it can over the strut towers?

Nope. The car is sitting on level ground and everything. Nothing is preventing it from sitting lower. It just seems as though the bolts don;t come up high enough.

I tried pushing it down real hard and starting them but it didn't work. I put different bolts on it but i was hoping to use the factory ones and didn't know if anyone else had this problem.

Try pushing down on the suspension tower really hard and screw the bolt on while you are pushing down really hard. That is about all I can think of. Other then that I dont know what to tell you. It worked for me and many other I dont know what the deal is with your car spineyes

I don;t either. Didn't know if it was a fluke or what. Oh well it's on with different bolts so i guess it'll be fine.

Go the the installs and find it there. There is a good one that isaac did and it says about what to do when the screws are hard to get.

a few $0.05 replacement bolts from the local hardware store can turn that frown frown upside down smile

watch this...take factory bolts, and flip them. BAM it works instantly , now you just use a rubber nosed pliers to tighten, and it works great!

Haha.^^ That's funny cause that's what i did to drive to get different bolts. Flipped them bad boys upside down and hand tightened them until it hurt. smile

I agree. They actually look a lot better than the stock ones.
