With some modifications in bulding, the light looks much uniform as below.
I use OHP sheet + PPP sheet + half-transparent paper to build it, which diffuse the LED light.

I think the quality of ink-jet printer is enough, not so different from lazer printer. Printable OHP sheet is sold in PC shop, and I bought PPP sheet in DIY shop in Japan.

Anyway, I am trying for further improvement.

OHP sheet...
printable sheet for Over-Head-Projector (is it Japanese English?,,, if so ,, sorry)
It is clear, transparent, easy to handle, and made by PET (chemical name).
I used OHP sheets manufactured by EPSON corp.

PPP sheet...
PPP is chemical material name.
It is half-transparent.

I will upload the details into my web later...

I upload more details in my web...

I made face using "WORD", and the document files can be downloaded from my web. I wish someone made good face design.

Looks great. From your website how did you glue the sheets together. Does anybody have a design for MPH. I mean you know for the US. So you scan ur gauge to started out the design? I mean this is great if we can make our own gauges but from ur website i got a little confuse like how you put all the sheet together. Thanks ans again great look. thumbsup

Thanx. The procedure is very simple. You can use any adhesive agents for plastic, without reducing transparency. I am waiting for someone to make much sophisticated design (will you make it for me?).
I forgot writing making the needle stopper. It is easy, just stick earring from back of the face. (haha)

Any half-transparent plastic sheet with the 0.5-1.0mm thickness will do well.
PPP is 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-Nn- propyl piperidine ((+/-)-3-PPP), chemical name.

I use this sheet...

Or you can make the same one by sanding the transparent PET sheet.
