Well needless to say i love my celi and i'm doing everything in my power to keep it. ( i do not want to let it go) But my wife want me to get a 4 door car, you guys should know why. A friend of mine wanted me to test drive a SRT-4 which i did last night and i got to say i was more impressed with it then i thought i would be. The car was an 05 with short shifter and blow off valve already on it and man did it sound good. Also the sales guy told me i can get a stage 3 turbo which brings the car to 310hp and keep the warranty on the car, which is one of the most important things to me. (the warranty is) Needless to say the car had a nice boost and was fast overall driving was fun. What do you guys thing i should do? any suggestions would be appriciated. I would love to keep the celi and get this one but that might not an option. Since i already have 2 cars notes a month.

Looks like you have too much into the Celi to trade it now. Tell her that you'll lose money on the deal. Does she have a 4 door?

well you said your wife wanted you to get a 4-door, but you're looking at a 2-door car?

i dont know, will it help your family?

i suggest the Mazda 6, 5-door, 4-door, or wagon. either one, they look hott as shit thumbsup

and the toyota camry, then drop in the super charger happywink haha, your wife wants you to give up the celica, well then get the camry and supercharge it and fix it up...mwahahahaha

thumbsup

How many kids do you have? I have a 4 year old son, and he has no problem riding in the back of the Celi. I swear, my kid is crazier about my Celi than I am. I made it clear to my wife that I was getting a Celi last year, and got no fuss. I had replaced her crappy Ford Explorer SUV with a 4Runner a couple of years before, so we have one family vehicle, and I have my Celi (which my son loves). As long as you have one family vehicle, I don't see why you can't keep your Celi, unless you have, like, 3 kids.

My wife has a windstar which is our "family" vehicle, which we take if 3 or 4 of us have to go anywhere. If it's just me and her, we take my celica. Sell whatever she has and get a Mazda 6. That's the only 4 door I'd consider..

Lexus IS300, it has the MKIV Supra naturally aspired engine in it I believe, it's four door and it can look really awsome with a few simple mods. I saw a local one online that is really nice and then I saw one in person today that was lowered and had aftermarket rims, very nice. The Audi A4 is nice too, as is the S4 if you can get one with a couple years on it since they are pricey brand new.

A local IS300.

Hmmm, well, I'm still not understanding. The Celi is your car, right? The RAV-4 is your wife's? Does your wife end up driving the Celi a lot, and because of that, she wants you to get a 4-door vehicle? Can't she adapt to putting the kid in the back of the Celi?

I dunno, I'm just telling you, 1 child was no reason for me to give up my 2-door car. We had my son when I was driving a 2-door Saturn, and I went from that car to my Celica, no sweat. When he was little, the back seat of the Saturn took the car seat in the reverse position, just fine. Celi's the same. When the 3 of you are going someplace together, just drive the RAV-4.

No big deal, and certainly not something to give up the Celica for, if you want to keep it.

Now if you really WANT to get rid of it, that's something else altogether.

OK, here's the deal, I DON'T KNOW WHY. Please clarify. What I'm saying is, the Celica is YOUR car, not hers. Unless its really her car, or unless she can't even handle RIDING in a 2-door car. wtf If, when you eventually have a child, why can't you adapt to carrying him/her in the Celi, like my wife and I have?

I agree with nihlio... I have a kid on the way... and just sold my celi... I'm driving my 90 rolla right now... but I'm going to be buying another celi as soon as my loan stuff goes through... It's really not that hard adapting to kids in the back seat of a celi... I was worried abt that too at first, but i tried fitting carseats in it and everything, and it's really not that bad... plus... I had a 5th gen... lol... the seats in the 5th gen are a little lower then a 7th gen and farther back... but still, I had no problem... I don't see why you should have to get rid of ur car for that reason...

but if you do decide to get rid of it... prolly my fave out of the suggested cars above has to be the IS300... still toyota and it's HOTT!!! lol... srt-4 is nice, I've driven one, same with the wrx... but in the end, it's up to you smile

hey guys thx so much for all your comments. The celi is truley my car not my wifes. She never drives it, she is affriad of it and can not drive manual. Now do not get me wrong she loves the celi and love to ride in it, but i guess she thought it might not be too sutibale for a baby smile. Oh well you guys are totaly right and she also understands. She does not gives me too much hell now when i talked about to srt4 cause now she heard that the srt4 is turboed and has more go and on top of it all she likes the way my celi looks better lol. (so it should be all good) One more questions guys if i could get the srt4 and keep my baby should i go for it?

Well, all I know about Neons is, they have a bad rep for reliability. Things may have changed some in the last couple of years, and maybe the SRT-4 is a little better. Daimler Chrysler is coming out with a lot new cars, and the media is giving them a lot of kudos (Chrysler 300 was Motor Trend car of the year). I'd have a look a Consumer Reports first before I got something like that.

Before getting my wife's 4Runner, and my Celica, I had always owned U.S. built cars (Pontiac, Ford, Saturn). After pouring thousands of dollars of maintenance into them, I've decided I'm done, and probably won't get another domestic car. But that's just me; you have to decide for yourself.

Hey, best of luck, whatever you decide to do! cheers
