My suggestion would be not to do it. But if you insist, I hear the kazuma exhaust takes out the cat.

It won't make any extra power without the cat so you should leave it on.

I dont know about there but in ohio its a 1500 fine for the cat. removal. I would just leave it and get a nice axle-back if you dont already have one.

yes you will gain a few hp. the cat restricts the airflow

on the celica, if you're running the stock ecu you will not gain power. you will actually lose power and cause your car to run very rich. I would really advise against taking it off. thumbsup

but it's not like I would know anything about this anyways wink

I wouldnt take the cat off most likely it will cause the car to trip codes or cause backpreasure problems. Id have a straight pipe welded in place of your resonator and leave the cat alone. The stock cat is just about as free flowing as a cat can get.

there is no vehivle inspections here in south carolina you can take it off but its not the power its hyped up to be plus we have newer cars we can go doing all the old school tricks we have o2 sencors before and after if they read diferent than what they are told to read they will send all kinda codes to your ecu mess with your fuel ratio b/c the amount of fuel in the untreated pipe etc.

magnaflow hi-flow cats sell for about $55 shipped on ebay. 2" - 3" versions, with quarter inch intervals inbetween

and yea, louisiana does have pretty lax emissions controls, which is a good thing. im prob going to do a kazuma setup..or a setup similar to kazuma without the stupid resonator.
