My next mod is definitely going to be rims, but first I have a question. I see when people put rims on stock celicas it makes the car look like a damn monster truck...

Well since my car is already lowere (1.4" drop all the way around) will putting 17's on my car raise it back up again? Or will the 17's just fill in the gap pretty much? Keep in mind I also don't have a body kit so I don't want it to look funny or anything.

I have a black car, so would you suggest getting silver rims or black rims with a polished lip? At first I was positive I was getting silver but after seeing black rims with a polished lip I'm kinda leaning toward black ones now. thumbsup

It will probably be exactly the same, depending on what tire you get. But more then likely you will have a more low profile tire, which equals same ride height as stock.

So your saying if I get 17's then I will pretty much be at stock height again? If that's the case, then I'm not going to get rims. I still want my drop to be noticeable.

no the gap will be the same as with stock wheels & tires. now with 18s...those would fill the gap even more.

^No, that's not what he ment. He means that the diamer of the tire is gonna be the same height as the stock tire...this will keep your speedo accurate. You're still gonna have the same gap between the top of tire and the fender, but w/bigger wheels, it's going to look smaller...it's an illusion tongue
