Emissions?

So I was told by a mechanic from Toyota (Don't know how much I believe him) that by having a SRI that I will not be able to pass emissions. Does anyone know if this is true. I live in Suwanee, GA and don't know all the regulations. Help me out if you know. Thanks

Not true.

I have a CAI and, at the time of my test, an exhaust with a leak in it and I still passed.

I had my car inspected 3 times several months ago with my Injen CAI. I passed emissions, a visual check (which I was the only car that they checked under the Hood) and the ECU check (they plugged it in here in NJ and I don't know what for) all 2 times that I needed the full inspection.

I passed SMOG with a AEM CAI and a crack/leak in the manifold before. The SMOG place I took my car to didn't make a big deal about my modifications. The dude told me if I fail then I need to worry.

emission testing is done to cars that are newer then 10 years (diffrent by state to state and county some times) they hook up a hydrocarbon dectector to your exhaust pipe to see if your car is running clean enough thats why its illegal to remove the cat

you need to get it tested because its the law lol

i don't know what happens if you fell the test wink but if you fail it you have to get your car fixed i.e. new cat new 02 sensor common proplems like those (thats not everything that could fail you)
