living up here in norcal i'm hesitant in getting a cai for fear of hydrolocking. i am aware that you would need to submerge the filter completely but the occasional torrid rainy weather up here causes some flooding.

i want the best performance with torque so aem would be my 1st choice.

any advice?

I've driven through pouring rain with my CAI. No problem at all.

CAI and cover of the wet spots through the splash guard. Consider also buying a shield for the cone filter.

how do i get or make a splash guard? i've also never seen a "shield" for the cone (like the injen heat shield?)

i also have a slight dilemma. my co-worker has connections up the wazoo and instead of aem he has a contact with injen for an intake. the guy is our auto sound guru and has more money than i dare to ask (he owns a tricked out vishnu wrx still being upgraded, a bmw m5 dinan and neuspeed audi s6).

if i went with injen i'm sure i could get it for dealer cost.

decisions, decisions...
