I'm having trouble with the CD-VC1 Voice Recognition kit from Pioneer. I'm trying to install it with the AVIC-N1, and I believe you plug it into the back of the AVIC-N1 into the little blue jack. I tried doing that and it doesn't work, anyone that has the Avic with the voice kit please help me out. Thanks.

I'm thinking either the keyhole for the hatch or removing one of the license plate lights and mounting it there. I still can't get the damn voice kit to work!!! angry

Well I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, I got it to work and damn I'm impressed...this thing opens up new features that I haven't been able to use before like 5mile detour etc. It also works good with changing tracks, I'm going to attempt the rear-view camera tomorrow, once i finish everything I'll take pics and post it here thumbsup

I'm going to get an in-dash DVD player, but no installer will do it without connecting to the e-brake, meaning the screen will only work with the e-brake engaged if I have it installed for me.
Where did you hook up that wire (or to what did you connect it) so that your screen will work with the e-brake disengaged?

Well it's pretty simple. What I did was ground that wire somewhere else instead of the e-brake. My avic-n1 came with a little clamp that clamps into another wire so I clamped it into the ground wire, and it bypasses the e-brake thing. thumbsup

::Update::

I finished installing both the voice recognition and the rear-view cam. They both work great! I'm gonna take pictures now and post them on here in a little bit. I'm going to start a new thread, watch for it wink
