Driving around with neons on is pretty much illegal EVERYWHERE. Try searching your states website or search on google. thumbsup

only if you have white or yellow, and they cannot see the tubing, and the tubing isn't flashing

Yeah basically as a rule of thumb...it's illegal to have any fancy lights anywhere. if your headlights are too bright they'll pull you over...turn signals, side marker lights, taillights if they're different colors or tinted, any non-amber or white colored lights they'll try to nail you for if they feel like it.

they are legal if installed properly and they are colors found on lights in the car already, this limits you to white and amber..

neons are illegal if they are red or blue, or if the bulbs themselves are visible. If you have a blue light permit (such as for being on FIRE / EMS ) then you can get away with the blue neon kits on the bottom. Most of the other colors are legal, as long as the bulbs are not visible, you must only see the illumination of the lights.

here in nc it is only illegal if they are red or blue. the statute says something about not being about to add any aftermarket red lights to the car and no cars are allowed to have any blue lights installed whether they are on or off. thumbsdown spineyes

what emergency vehichle has anyone seen with underbody lights??? would you pull over if someone had blue or red underbodys on a car?? i know i wouldnt. these laws are stupid as hell what harm would these do to anyone that they would be illegal? for that stupid excuse that people will look at it instead of pay attention to the rd then make nice cars like evos and vipers illegal because they catch my attention.. i hate my state

U CAN drive w/ underbody neons just as long as you are not able to see the tubings. U have to really hide the tubes. If U do get pulled over and get a ticket then just take pictures of the, car w/ the neons on, at all angles of the car. Bring them to court and the case will be dismissed. Worked for me thumbsup

yeah, i got pulled over in a small town near where i live and got a huge @$$ fine. the cop said when he pulled me that if they were blue he would have just arrested me for impersonating an emergency vehicle thumbsdown rofl thankfully, i went to court and had one of my friends neon tubes with me and told them i had taken them off. the dismissed the ticket, but kept his neon. thumbsup

Someone asked "with streetglow...how do you turn them off?"...you just hook it up to a switch...it's not on all the time.

I really wanna get underbody neons but i'm not allowed because my parents say it's illegal...which it is right? Does anyone know the law for PA? I have blue neons on the inside so i wanted to get blue for the outside too...if i can hide them well enough so that you can't see the tubes themselves will i be ok?

ya, even in cali which is the most anal state, the law only states the light from a neon device must be indirectly visible (meaning reflected), so that leads us to 1.) Hide your tubes and 2.) Why would you wanted to be that guy driving around with his tubes hanging down swinging in the air?
