hello, i bough celica few weeks ago and got the strange rattle in the back. tried to find what the hell it is going from.. was unseccesfull. i think that something between trimming and body is clapping like a trunk was not closed this sound comes when i going over a caves in asphalt. could there be a cables hanging or someting like that? attached picture where i marked where sound seems to come from. i checked car's suspension in the service.. and they sad that it is very good. i feels like i'm sitting in a tin

It could be the tray that goes over the trunk. Try removing that. Also try tightening or removing your rear plate frame. Short of that, I'd take it back and ask them to check it out... you don't want to tear down the whole trunk.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you

I had a really bad rattle for a while. It turned out that the screws on my tailights were lose. Thus, pull the plastic covers off on the inside of the trunk and you can check them by hand. At first I thought it was coming from the area you were specifying...so it might be them. Good luck. P.S. If that isn't it you might want to ride in the trunk while someone drives your car...may sound silly, but that is how I found my rattle:)

you could also check to see if your jack is tightly in its bracket behind the left panel in your trunk. I didnt tighten mine all the way when I put it in one time and it rattle and squeaked for weeks until I figured out that was what it was.
