Celica Forums General Discussion General Check Engine Light and Trouble Codes

I am the original owner/driver of a 2000 Celica GTS automatic. (I know it's an auto not a 6-sp. I drive in nasty traffic) There are about 63,000 miles on her and she's well maintained. My check engine light keeps coming on. It's been doing this over the past year. I used my friend's Auto X-Ray 5000 diagnostic tool to check the problem. The three codes are:

P0440 Evaporative Emmission Control System Malfunction
P0441 Evaporative Emmission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0440 Evaporative Emmission Control Vent Control Circuit Malfunction.

I took in to the dealer the first time it happened (about a year ago) and they told me that the gas cap was probably loose. It has come one several times since with the same codes. I also started using Mobile 1 oil more than a year ago, but the dealer told me that it shouldn't matter. I bought a replacement OEM gas cap and the same thing still happens.

Is this just an annoying thing that I have to live with for as long as I own the car?

By the way, does anyone know if I can purchase OEM HID headlamp assembly from the dealer or someone else, then install it into my Celica without problems? Any suggestions?
