i gotta question thats prolly already been talked about, but when i try to search on the forums, i got an error so... but anyway i gotta couple questions. first is i wanna get my exhaust to sound kinda throaty. id like it to sound like that eclipse on the fast and the furious. first, im wondering if just putting on a muffler would be able to do that. if so what one should i get? or if not, what exhaust system would be best to get?? thanx!

eh...if you just put a muffler on, you will free up no power. i would go with custom mid pipe; it sounds so much better if you pick out a decent muffler. now, everybody is going to tell you TRD is the best and blah blah blah... rolleyes the truth is, TRD is so quiet, and i mean stock like quiet. i wasn't impressed when i first installed. it's no comparison to my paseo's custom cat-back. if you don't want custom work, then maybe try HKS or tanabe... smile

Tanabe has a loud deep sound, followed by the Apexi-N1, then RS-R.

though, its better to have a custom pipe job done with a carbon fiber muffler, now thats hott thumbsup

Sport Compact Car magazine did a project Celica and tried on Rod Millen Motorsports cat back exhaust and HKS Hiper exhaust. The magazine like the Rod Millen Motorsports one better because of the sound, they both had equal gains. The HKS is quieter because it has the silencer before the tip. I like my Rod Millen Motorsports exhaust a lot. Great deep throaty sound.

yae id like to get the whole exhaust but good god theyre so expensive, i thought maybe id just start with the muffler then me and my dad could finish the rest of the pipe because he has a bender an all that shit. i dunno if that would be a good way to go or not
