ok so heres what happened, my mom took her 99 Corolla into a shop to get a routine oil change. No big deal, well the next day she is sitting at the light by our house and a little smoke starts coming out of her engine so she takes it home and pops the hood. What does she find??No Fucking oil cap on the engine! The oil is all over the engine and dripping onto our garage floor. So she calls the place up and they are real sorry blah blah blah and they have a new cap for her and some oil that i have to go get. So they said to just bring it in and they will clean her engine and fill up her oil.
You would think that that would be the end but wait it gets better.
So she takes it in to get cleaned and topped off. The next day she is heading home on I95 and he car starts shaking and she gets a CEL.She drives it to autozone and the computer diagnostic reads that cylinder 1&4 are missing they pop them out and there is water in there and it interfering with spark plugs and shit. so now her car is in the shop getting repaired and the bill will be delivered to the shop thatr cleaned her engine angry
thought i would share this with the site
the shop is Davidson's Tire Co.

learn how to change the oil - that way there should be no mistakes made. (cept if you mess up) wink though i doubt you'll find it difficult. thumbsup

ok well she just got it out of the shop the charged her 219 for new wires, spark plugs and labor.the owner of the shop said he couldnt totally blame it on the engine cleaning by davidson because of the high miles on the car, i think its total bullshit cause what are the chances that no problems with water are happening intil those dumbasses clean the engine angry He said it could have attributed to the problem but not totally responsible.

you probably shouldn't take your car there. tongue

but seriously, it had to be the cleaners that go water in the engine, just becuase its old doesn't mean it weak and is no longer water resistant. hell, if they spayed water on any cars engine, you'll probably have the same result. talk to a lawyer if you can't get the shop to cover the bill. point it out that you don't want to cause trouble you just want things back to be fixed and back to normal. but if they get nasty, you get nasty.
