So I was installing my strobes and I hook the + to the battery and the - to the body and hooked a switch to the wires so i could turn them off at any time. only problem is when i switch them on, the wires start to burn and i dont know what the problem is only when the switch is hooked they burn what should i hook to
any suggestions please

you need the right kind of wire, and definitely need to hook it up with a fuse.

yes you need some kind of fuse and use a differnt gauge wire.

definately put in an inline fuse to prevent the line burning up. happend to me with another type of electronic situation but resolved it whenever I switched to a larger gauge wire.
