THANK YOU GUYS. finally more people are agreeing with me about thelostrican. Please for the love of God buy the ViS scoop. the workmanship is great. You know what happened to my poorly fitting hoodscoop from thelost? I tried adjusting it and the cheap ass screws he has for mounting well there are two thing: for one they get rusty and two as i was tightening them THEY PUNCTURED ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE!!! this only happened to one screw but when i look real close to the other side i could see a little bump like its about to punture. long story short now my hoodscoop has a hole (200 dollar mistake right there) in it and im buying its replacement from ViS which uses they same bolt style as the stock scoop to attatch.

so how does the vis hoodscoop compare to the lostrican one?
exact same size? the only thing i dont like about the vis is that thing that comes down the middle.
plus last time i check visracing.com they only had it in carbon fiber

the only reason i recommended them was because I had not other place to recomend... it was just as a suggested starting point in your search - nothing more, nothing less.

i have 3 pair hoodscoops sitting in my office...

a lostrican fiberglass
an mb autosport fiberglass
and an mb carbonfiber

they all need to be "slightly adjusted" - thats why I refused to sell them to anyone first time around rofl

BUT - if anyone wants to do a local pick up (91423) on these... you're welcome to take the Fiberglass for $40 and the Carbon fiber for $60

I WILL NOT SHIP

Other than looks; is there any advantage to an aftermarket hood scoop on the 7th gen Celica?

^ Works for me smile

They do look great. I was just wondering if there was any performance increase like more air flow and or better cooling of the engine bay.
