i bought some el glow/reverse white gauges a while back and they had the single push button that you just stuck whereever you wanted. but i didn't like how it looked so i decided to install a lighted rocked switch in its place. its all hooked up, but doesn't work like its supposed to. i can get the gauges to come on, but the switch doesn't click on and off like its supposed to. i may have to push it several times to get it to work and the on/off positions aren't consistent. hope that made sense... any ideas?

your gauges operate prolly on a 'momentary switch' which means you need to replace it with another monentary switch and not your average on/off flip switch. show a picture if you can

yup i got that same switch and you need a momentary switch(which is more of a button) to replace that. you can get them at radio shack but as far as i know they dont have many unique or cool styles. they only have red or black buttons but either way they look better than the sticker thing. i was trying to figure out if there was a way so that it wouldnt have to be a momentary switch but as far as i know it does.
