well as most of you know i had that problem with my lights dimming andvolt meter going down

most said it was the alternator, well since today it happend again my volt meter went to 8.5 and the battery light came on, now i know i have a bad battery

now iam going to be replacing it, isaac recommended sears gold series battery
this is my first time switching it now the question is there a certain type or size i need to know b4 i purchase it

The more Cold Cranking Amps the better. though I'd go with a Yellowtop, if money isnt an issue thumbsup

i think they should know about fitment and size. maybe trial and error process. spineyes

if i decide to,
who carries optima batts??? does autozone or pepboys carry them?? or can they be only ordered??

also from a search i did there are diffrent ones which 1 is good and what does the numbers mean 550 650 750?? red yellow or blue

i was reading thru old post and most mentioned that only upgarde to optima if you have a sound system

iam stock for know and will be stock audio for a while
so do you guys recommend optima right away?? coz i also read that it might be dameging to the alternator???

if you have a stock radio and going to have it for awhile i say go and get a red top optima battery.

I got the red top and it is perfect. Just add a piece of wood underneath the battery and everything should be flushed with stock battery tie down.

if you have tp replace something always go with a perfromance part like an optima of some sort-pep boys and auto zone and advance all carry them

so i decided to buy diehard gold series for now
my new question is if the battery light comes up again and my volt meter drops again is it safe to assume that i have a bad alternator??
