I had some on my old GT, I took them off before I sold it. Here's what I learned.

I hope you have a body kit to hide them, or else you can see the tubes from far away. (personally I think thats tacky looking) OR you have to tuck them up behind the frame and its hard to see the the light on the ground. The front and the rear are easy and look good. Just the sides are a little tricky to place so they won't look tacky.

you don't have to remove them(i'm assuming your reffering to the plastic plate under the front bumber?), hell on my 86 gts, the skid plate slopes up, so i mounted it on that plate up higher, never had any problems with it, looks good too. the sides are different, like spectra said, hide them. not only do they look tacky, but they are illegal in most places and they could smash going up a big slope, trust me, i know that from experiance.

the further you mount them towards the center of the car the more dispersed the light is gonna be, you also wont see the tubes as easy, but it also is not as bright. now i mounted caleb's UB neon right after the skid plate and butted it up against the rail that goes downt the side of the car, you can see in my install guide how i mounted them. just get them up closest to the floor of the car as possible and it wont be THAT noticable. you are gonna notice them either way, but granted you gotta be like 10 feet from the car to see em. if you are plannin on gettin a kit, make sure you know how the side skirts fit on the car, i have the VS kit and my sides wrap under the car a little so if you get a kit i would just place the tubes on the other side of that metal rail thumbsup

Oh yeah, I never had to take the skid plate off. Just mount the front light above the opening on the front of your car. Right under the front toyota badge, where it opens. Thats what I did. It makes the radiator look cool. The tube fits perfect there too. I thought it looked pretty bad ass. Too bad I don't have pics of it. Maybe I do. I'll look.

yeah you shouldn't have to remove the skid plate. Personally I think that neons CCFLs or LEDs look better when the light is just an accent under the car instead of really bright out the sides, know what I mean? I think it would like nicer if you tucked up the light under the side so you couldn't see the bulb. But it's all up to you.

Shit, I bought mine for $50 shipped from e-bay, and the kit is made by liteglow, but has thier name removed. The kit comes with insurance, and when something is wrong when recieved(bad tube or flickering led's), they send out a new kit for free without even asking for the old one to be returned. I had a problem, and that's how it was handeled. I strongly recomend them, best prices and costomer service you can find.

get the zip ties that are made with screw holes on the end, than you will be able to mount the zipties and tie down the kit again.

It's not the most common thing, but any hardware store will have them.
Here's a drawing to show what the difference is. If you had no problems with zip ties before, this will work perfectly, my back tube is actually ziptied on, but not with those.

i dont think the leds disperse the glow as good as neon does so in the glow dept. i would go neon but if want flashing bulbs and changing colors then leds are cool-good luck with the sides and no bc because you will still see a 1/4 inch of the tube until you get kitted
