stopped by the local dealer the other day to mess around with the mechanic that has logged in ever so many hours on my car. Anyway I asked him what he thought of the TC's. He said they were good cars, reliable anyways, as he says...But, He warned me that no where in, or on the car, any of the literature, or in the warranty states about rust protection. Apparenty they are going to rust out, or develop it badly like hondas and so on. I dont know what exactly he meant, but he is a toyota mechanic and has been there many years. That would suck if he is right and our cars are getting replaced with cars that will look bad in 4 years or so. I guess we will have to wait and see

ah well all cars rust after a while, besides that car is cheap to begin with. I'm just glad they don't carry the celica name.

hey my mechanic also took 31 days to put a new motor in my car. It also got towed in 3 times afterwards for dumb mistakes. He probably is full of it too. I was more or less asking a question as in if anyone else heard the same info. Tim-- you keep your car too clean to rust out on you anyway
