they aren't actually HID's
they are aftermarket bulbs just like PIAA, same quality, but cheaper
I recommend you get them, very nice and bright

we can't actually say MTEC's are a bad brand that will blow out in 3-4 months. it also depends on the installer and how the installation is done.

Go with the Mtec's.

You're going to screw up and touch or drop the first set of bulbs you put into your car anyway... like 95% of people here did. rofl

if MTECs were defective, isaac wouldnt sell them here. he has them on his car for a few years now and nothings wrong. if you put them right, they will most definetely be alright. or else its either factory defect, or maybe the shipment damaged the bulbs somehow

I had to rip off my front bumper to put my new fog lights in. I hit a raccoon a few months back and destroyed my bumper and as I found out tonight, my whole fog light assembly. With some jb weld and a backstrap from an old cd player, some self tap screws, 3 zip ties and some silicone, I made it all work again. This time using yellow Hella H3's, It looks like an IS300 is coming at you. Total time took a little over 2 hours, it was my first time tearing at the front bumper

get an HID kit, much more worth it and ur wattage will actually be less than the stock 55, and an HID kit has at least 5000+ hr lifespan and hte normal lifespan for knock off xenon bulbs is considerbly less than the stock not exactly sure on the hr lifespan but less than 1000 hrs, and u'll have a higher wattage than stock and less light output with the knockoff bulbs

I had MTEC on for the longest time without problem. the only reason I took them out is because i got HID's.

HID kits go from 300 and up^^^^ Just got with the whole MTEC package if you cant wait and want a nice look. You cant beat the price for what you get from the ec store for the MTEC package. Gotta love the Polargs!

hey isaac in that previous post i made about the "thank you tristie" i was referring to the MTECS isaac, not you. I have never met you in person before, so therefore I cannot judge you for who you are. All I know about you is that your an admin of ecelica who is located on so.cal who sells products on here and is a friendly guy to the fellow members. wave

hids might be 300 or so, but well worth it plus u'll never ever have to replace the bulbs unless you screw something up, knock off bulbs burn out sooner and depending on install can burn out often, which means u'd have to buy new ones each time which can add up to the same amount of an hid kit or even more
