rpm question

sometimes i see vids about celica reving in the red rpm range how is it possible i mean normally it kicks back can anyone explain this? do you have to adjust something

they might of had a PFC and reset the RPM to 8700-9000RPM

yes you can, well it depend what you mean can you do that with a GT. I dont know about going to 8300 on a stock ECU on a GT, you can get the PFC for a GT however and fiddle with the fuel cut point.

My 2001 GTS can go 8300 before the fuel is cut off. So yes you can go into the red, just not very far without the help of a a power fc or something to increase the fuel cut off. I wouldn't do that though without modding your engine so it can handle it though. Its there for a purpose.

I think it's 8350 rpm on the stock ecu GTS's except for the '02 of course at 7800.

I get my kicks on EC.

'00 to early 02's redline is 8200rpm and fuel cut-off is around 8400rpm. Mid to late production '02's are 7800rpm redline and I am unsure about cut-off..probably 8200rpm. '03-05 is back to 8200rpm redline and 8400rpm cut-off.
