I JUST THREW A ROD IN MY ENGINE. SO I AM GOING TO STRIP IT DOWN AND BUILD IT BACK STRONGER. I ALREADY HAVE AND INJEN CAI. I HAD THE STOCK MUFFELER CUT OUR , STRAIGHTEND OUT THE PIPE AND PUT AND AERO SPEED EXHAUST MUFFLER ON(I KNOW CRAPPY IT WAS MY FIRST MOD, BUT NOT A BAD SOUND). I KNOW I STILL NEED LITTLE THINGS LIKE WIRES, PLUGS, IGNITION, FUEL PUMP, STUFF LIKE THAT. BUT I AM ABOUT TO ATTACK THE ENGINE. I HAVE SOME IDEAS IN MIND. BUT I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD GET SOME IDEAS OTHER THAN WHAT MY RESEARCH HAS GIVIN ME.
Next time, do not type in ALL-CAPS. Our users here don't appreciate it, thanks. -Steven

Taylor Motive's 3zz can be tuned to 94 or even 91 octane gasoline.

A multi angle valve job is the cutting or grinding of 2 or more angles on the seat and valve. The purpose of a multi angle valve job is to improve airflow. By now you have probably heard of 5 angle and radius valve jobs. The truth. this is more applicable in the American iron heads. There just isn't enough material in the small diameter seats or valves to see any real noticeable differences on a flow bench. A .5% gain maybe seen on a flowbench but the flowbench has a plus or minus error factor that has to be eliminated before a true flow figure can be attained. Older American iron heads may benefit from a five angle or radius valve job but only because the head is so bad to begin with. The Honda head is diffrent. Our flowbench testing has proven time after time that the correct angles and angle widths is what's important. More Carbon FiberM gains have been made through this procedure than applying 5 angles or radiuses.

thanks for all the feedback. i have learned more about my car since it broke than i did before. im in the military and we are leaving in a couple of weeks for a seven month deployment. so it looks like i am gonna have to wait and start on it when i get back. i dont want to leave it with someone and come back with some crazy bill or the wrong stuff done to my car. is the 3zz stroker kit for a 1zz engine or do you have an older celica? and i definatley want to get my intake and exhaust ports done. i have been looking and i like the weisco pistons. i think i will have to have my cam done as a custom job. i've heard you can safely bore out the 1zz as much as .4 liters. but i will need strong sleeves. maybe in a year or so i want to boost it. but when i do i want to BOOST it. like 14 or 15 psi. so i dont want to go and blow up my engine. and does any one know about custome cranks for the 1zz?
