I've heard that if you switch your rims then you need to get an adapter kit if you are going to a larger size of rim is there any truth to this. I'm getting a damn good deal on some rims. I have 15's on my car now and this guy will sell me his 16's for $50 a piece and all are in perfect condition. Do I need to get an adapter kit so the 16's will fit on my hubs? Or have I mis-heard any info. I would like to get some 17's or 18's on my car but I don't want to have to spend $200 per rim. Thanks

I don't know anything about a "adapter kit", as long as the rims your going to put on have a 5x100 bolt pattern and have a offset of 35 to 42 (stock is 39) you will be fine.

Ok I need a little bit of explanation then. I know the 5 in the 5x100 is the number of bolts but what does the 100 stand for? the number of milimeters to the outside of the rim or something and what about the offset? I'm a little new in this area. Please explain if you could. Thanks

100 is for the space between, offset is how far in or out the wheel will sit in the wheel well.
