You might want to try to clean your MAF Sensor.

Yeah because I use to have AEM for a while and it was good. But yeah...try TPR's but you will have to wait a while.

The BlueBomber mod is basically cutting the MAF housing tube out of the stock air box and using it in place of the MAF housing of an aftermarket intake.

The reason for doing this is the Celica's MAF is calibrated to calculate the air flowing through the 2.5 inch pipe with fins used in the stock air box, most aftermarket intakes are using a 2.75 inch tube without the fins, thus when the MAF finds itself inside a larger opening the air flow readings that it sends to the ECU are slightly off, thus the ECU miscalculates the amount of fuel to add; this Sometimes results in bogs and Check Engine Lights.

You can find an install guide for this mod over at new celica dot org.

The TPR intake is the only intake that I know of to use the same MAF dimensions as the stock air box, unfortunately there is a long waiting list to get them.

Its called the Blue Bomber mod because he invented it, and actually did it; props to him for doing so.

There is a difference between working fine and creating the best gains for your engine.

I understand not everyone can afford the crazy mods that others can, but why not just save up? I'm not trying to diss on anyone I really wonder this myself. I didn't have money to buy a car... so I saved for five years and then bought one, I didn't get a $600 shit box on the side of the road because I couldn't wait.

i understand where ur coming from. I am one to save and not get cheap either, as you can see i didnt do this mod. Some people are impaitent though. so i was jsut throwing out this option for people who are impaitent, yet do not want bogging or cels. i do completely agree with you but for those who dont, they can do that.

i didnt emver remember what i was initially saying to do. he said his already non-cheap cai was bogging, so i said for him to do this mod and if it didnt work, he was planning on getting a new one anyway. So gotta get off topic of cheap ebay ones. there is another forum whith peopel arguing aobut that grin
