i want to know whose car this is...

that painted console is exactly what i want

how did you paint around the AC controls????

maybe if you can get a close-up of the dash/AC area, then i can figure it out

it might be carbon fiber, but i cant see that from this far...but if it was, i dont know why there would be gray areas around the controls

i say if you want to paint around the AC controls get some kinds of sticker like contact paper or something and use a compass to draw 2 concentric circles then cut it out so its like a ring. stick it over the controls and paint. then remove the sticker when the paint is dry. that what i would do.

its probably just a non oem sticker set. like b0x sells on ncDOTorg.

I just drew the outlines of what I wanted to blank out on my computer and printed them on clear sticker paper. I cut them out and put them on the panel to mask off the AC stuff and removed them after the color coat. Then I clear coated everything. See my profile.

just make a stencil and mask that area off. What i would do is mask off the lettering and paint over the whole area so that you dont have a color change. will take a lot of work to do that though a lot of time and a steady hand.

well around the ac controls you can use wide masking tape, cut to the size of a circle on the tape, then lay the tape over the controls so you cant paint it...

but i still want to see the lights...i changed the color, and i dont want to cover all that up after i did it

dude, just mask over the sections. Thats what I did, my came out perfect!


My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!
