i have a quick question
when i am getting on the freeway i hit usually about 4.5-5.5 rpms but when ever i do this all of a sudden my car shifts into neutral whats wrong?? yeah it's an auto

no it doesn't shift in to 4th gear

Why didn't you say that in the first place? You should take it to the dealer to get checked out. That's weird.

you probably turn the O/D off when you change gears or something.
I used to do that to a mini van thinkin that the gear wouldn't shift like our celicas...

O/D is 4th gear in auto celica's...

Still, it shouldn't shift to N if the O/D is off, should just stay in third. I would just take it to the dealer. Good luck with it.

How does it go to neutral unless you shift the stick up?

read the first few posts and you'll understand.

Under what condition does it happen? I've had my tranny downshift to third and stay there at about 65 MPH, because I was on a hill behind a slow guy. Speed up, slow down, speed up, etc. and I kept downshifting to third to do it, so my tranny locked me out from 4th gear.
