only 1 person has done an engine swap into the celica other than changing a 1zz out for a 2zz...they put in a 3sgte engine from an MR-2 and the swap ran him something like $15,000 +

Unfortantley are parts arent as interchangable as Honda, lol so any swap will cost a pretty penny.

Welcome to ECeilica Mywidecelica,
Just the one AZZKIKR said. That's the only one I know of, but why would you want to? Check out the new race engines that MWR is selling. www.monkeywrenchracing.com [monkeywrenchracing.com] Slap a turbo on one of these badboys, a c2power tranny and you'll have a 12 second, maybe 11 second Celica with a top speed of 187 mph.
c2gas is checking to see if it's possible to get another 13 mph out of that so we can hit the 200 mph mark. Is that fast enough for you?
So tell me about your body kit. Where did you get? How much did you pay? Did you get a rear wid diffuser with it? Got any pictures of it?

There are no direct, easy swaps like everyone has said. Any swap is gonna take a rediculous amount of custom work if it is even possible at all. Your better off fully building the engine and turboing it.
