Its not as tall as the stock battery, so the positive terminal connection, and the brackets that hold the battery, are not sitting properly - has anyone else had this problem? if so, how'd you fix it??

yeah I just bent the hook ends of the tie down rods to make them shorter. It works. the positive terminal connection fits fine after I trimmed some plastic off the valve cover...uh plastic cover should I call it?

Some suggested putting a piece of plywood underneath the battery so it sit a little higher, not sure if it'll help!

keep it low they're nice when you have an aftermarket strut towerbrace and dont have to remove the battery tie down in order to get the brace off.

just buy some shorter tie downs from kragen or autozone

I use a race battery at the track that is 1/2 the height and I bought some new tiedowns and that is it.

uhhmm... rolleyes get a bolt and screw that in there? There are only 2 solutions for your problem:

- Just like illusive said buy some shorted tie down. But that would mean spending a few $.
- If your cheap like me I would just put a piece of wood/plywood underneath the battery to raise it a little.

Works the wonders for me and saves me the $. thumbsup

Yeah, I used metal spacers myself.. it doesn't look that great, but mostly, I can't get the red positive terminal cover to fit properly.. I think I'm going to jack it up a bit.. in the summer, I'll see if I can jack up the plate that holds the battery, that'll probably work better, but its -20 right now, so can't even wash my car...
