ive been reading a lot lately about headlights and HIDs...i bought sylvania silverstars thinking they would be the bright white that i was looking for...they run at about 4000k

they dont look like any white lights that i see driving down the highway...did i misinterpret this and buy the wrong bulbs, or am i just not seeing it?

nah, my dad has them on his land cruiser, and they look hot.

I also have Sylvania cool blue (lower model to silverstar), and they shine bright and lok nice without sacraficing quality.

I put in silverstars after all the sets of Mtecs I bought went to hell one after the other in no time. Silvers are not as blue as Mtecs but just as bright, I did a side by side with the one working Mtec I had. Also the Silvers are (so far) lasting a lot longer than the Mtecs ever did.

Thinking about using PIAA or Silver Star to replace my burt out Mtec fogs.
