i was reading up on forced induction in general and i thought of something...would you need to change to a higher octane fuel once you install and run on a turbocharged engine or can you stay with regular? And what would be the gas milage once you get turbo? (actually what is the original gas milage of the celica?)

The gas mileage of a gt is like 27 for city and 33 for highway. For the gts i think it's like 24 and 30 (manual transmission) this is a guess though.

Right now i'm running a cold air and exhaust, and my gas mileage has gone down considerably, because of the fact that the more air you need, the more gass you need to throw in, and the more possibility for detonation in the engine if it runs too lean, which is why i'm already using high octane fuel in my car. High octane has less of a chance of detonating before it should. A turbo would definetly need high octane fuel, lower grade can cause some bad engine problems, with the compression as high as it will be, it would be dangerous. I'd say you'll probably get maybe 15-20 miles a gallon.

I would say that you probably drive faster and rev it more now cause everything sounds so nice = more gas! thumbsup
