hope that doesn't sound to noob but what is "drive by wire"? i have an 04 gt and i guess i have it too?

I actually liked the responsiveness I felt when I drove an 04 GTS Auto at Toyota's Put it in Play. It sx though b/c it's not PFC friendly.

anybody mind breaking it down for me? cause when i looked at the throttle body i thought that i actually saw a cable but i could be wrong. help?

Drive By Wire was important change to add an electronically controlled traction on the new celicas. I dont know if its an option, but it is a nice thing you can hace in a car for best acceleration.

drive by wire sucks, it's all hydraulics and they are a bitch to fix and a waste of money.

drive-by-wire is standard after 03', you don't have an option to take it off...

Not true I have an 04 and its not drive by wire, Drive by wire came out in the middle of that years production thumbsup if you can see in my photos i have a throttle body. when i bought my car they did have some with DBW but the sales man who is into import tuning said he didnt like it so I took the one with the throttle body thumbsup

Drive by wire is more stupid emissions crap. My mom's 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi is drive by wire and it doesn't give you all 345 horse power when you floor it. frown

You don't have drive by wire b/c its only on GTS's not on GT's

You can get passed DBW with E-Manage

DBW is standard on all 03-05 GTS celicas its not on the GT celicas
