Why in the hell do celicas burn out headlights constantly. Ive used stock, wal-mart, piaa, cheap hid look, mid priced, i think this is the 4th or 5th bulb in about a year, what kind work the best for the money, last the longest with an average look?

maybe it has to do with the DRL's? Celica's do tend to have they're lights on a lot more then the average car..

the DRL use the high beams I think he's having problems with the main beams thats seems to be a lot of headlights your going through maybe you have a short thats blowing them out you shouldn't be going through that many idunno

actually, our high beams are consist of h7 (low beam) and 9005 (DRL). i say there might be short somewhere, or you suck at installing them. i've used my piaa xtreme white+ for 6 months w/o problem. i upgraded to xtreme force since may, not a problem here...

it's not the bulb, its whatever you did when installing everything.

I wouldn't think it would be the bulb...you are supposed to be very careful when you install them not to touch them by your fingers or anything else...cuz oils and greases get on there and heat up and can cause them to blow...MAYBE that's it?

Like sbocaj55 said, this tends to be a common problem. Also try to change out the fuse for your high and low beams. Could have a bad fuse that refuses to just blow! rice

I guess this confuses me, i know not to touch the bulb with bare hands, but i dont understand how a fuse is the problem, you never replace a fuse with a larger one, and if it blows out the doesnt fix my problem, the bulb blows, i know the weakest link in an electrical circuit blows, and a 10 or 15 amp fuse should be the weakest part. Could i just be buying to cheap of bulbs? The last ones were street glow from best buy. Should i just go and get normal wattage ones? Im not all that concerned on what they look like as long as both are going to work for 6 months plus, it just sucks to change bulbs out every 2-3 months

it's usually inadvertent contact of the bulb with your fingers - this is why I use gloves when installing any bulbs... I've upgraded all mine with PIAA's and have had no problem for almost one year
