Which is a better Alpine headunit?

I wanted to know which Alpine headunit is better. This is a gift for someone and he specifically said that he like the green color buttons but dunno that i'm getting out of that...which one is better? i'm looking at the CDA-9826 , CDA-9830, or CDA-9831...or something that is worth $200 to $350. Leaning towards the 9830 tho. I was thinking about the Sony 8800 one...that one with the black panel...but then i read it isnt better than the alpines. right?

go alpine! if you want the best features for the money get the
CDA 9830, its the best all around and it averages 187$-270 online, its got the green buttons, if you up it to the 31 your looking at about 350 and its got blue
