Removed the kit for a month... it was fun!
Nothing too exciting, just wanted to share some recent pictures of when the kit came off...

I went back to stock for a month - the car had much better performance (less drag) and there was far less wind-noise at freeway driving speeds (60 to 80mph)

Gallery is at...

I had a silver '03 front on for a few days - but then came across an '04 in red and quickly switched that over...

after about a month of being fully stock - the 4pc kit went back on all within a single afternoon and the next day at 4am, I was off to a car show in Palm Springs showing with CID496 (Ron)

yup.. simple as that... nothing too tricky

the side note of this topic is the fact that removing and reinstalling a body kit is really simple... nothing more than a few bolt-on pieces (installing for the first time, that's the tricky part)

So if I was to purchase a kit that is already been painted and use, I can just install the kit myself onto my car?

I believe they are Piaa's, the last time I asked him.

The PIAA burnt out at the end of last year - I then replaced them with MTEC Golden Yellows from November 2003 - In February of this year, I ran into a tire on the freeway and it smashed my Driver's side Fog - I replaced the fog but was unable to find another MTEC Golden Yellow to replace the broken on - So i went with Nokia Yellows. So I'm running MTEC HYPER WHITE LOW & HIGH, NOKIYA YELLOW FOGS, POLARG WHITES Driving lights and Side Markers and Stock Orange Front Turn Signals. In the back are Polarg Reds for the License Light and Polarg Reds for the Turn Signals (They no longer flash orange - they now flash Red)

My lighting is complete except for the set of Polargs that I haven't installed in my Reverse lights yet - I have 18% tint on the rear and would like my Reverse lights to be a bit brighter than the current stock whites.

not that it really matters to anyone - but that is my current lighting setup happywink

i see in ur pic you dont ahve the foam piece bwtween the car and the front bumper. do oyu sugest removing this? Looks l;iek it restricts allot of air flow. Love the 04 front btw wink jsut wish there was a cheap lip for it, damn WW. For those who havent, i took off my bumper to cahnge the fogs for the 1st time and it took no time at all. really simpel and straight forward. jsut odnt loose any of the bolts. I have lost quite a few over all of my projects wink may need to azmke a trip to toyota to get some more smile

Although the foam is different for the 00-02 and 03-05 fronts, it is never in the path of any air flow.

This car is hardly ever parked outside in the sun & the bumper doesn't sag - because of that, the thought to replace the foam piece never comes into play grin

depends on the kit... but it's more of a matter of...

WILL IT STILL FIT
vs
HOW BAD DO YOU REALLY WANT IT THERE
vs
IS YOUR NEW KIT SO HEAVY THAT IS REQUIRES SOMETHING THERE TO HELP RETAIN IT'S FORM

ah. all makes sense now. smile i was jsut worried about air flow 1st but i think becasue it has to stay outside cry most of the time,a dn floirda is always very hot i wil keep it on. ITs wierd though, the 03+bumper has the logn slit. but the foam onyl has 2/3rs of hat area open. thinking of filing out the other 1/3 becasue thats the 3rd infront of the Short Ram. Thanks so much for all your help, as alwayts ur the man.
