I have the opportunity of buying a used Kaminari kit that is painted the same color as my Celi.

Is it better to save money (over 400+ plus painting) and buy the used kit or wait until the summer and get a new kit that would still need to be repainted.

The used kit only has some cratches on the bottom of the rear bumper and the sides, nothing major.

I would buy a used kit if it looks good...paint is probably what...$400-$600 depending on where you go?...i mean if it looks good I would definitely do it. save allll that money and put it toward some rims thumbsup

plus i'm not sure if the kaminari comes with all those predrilled holes etc...but in either case this kit has all the holes in the right place...and all the brackets etc still on...so your job is half done smile

Why would you not? If the color matches and it fits and all. Seems like a good deal to me thumbsup

The kit is the urethane version. He's also going to throw in the clear corners. I'm going to take a look at it this weekend. How can I verify that it is a legit Kami kit?

If it's urethane, it's probably authentic. I'd go used. I DID go used with mine. Saved a ton of cash. I had to get mine painted since it was carbon mica blue. Still saved in the long run.

After you include shipping and coming across the border (taxes and duty), it's still cheaper to buy locally.

I would buy a used kit if and only if:
1. it has been fitted onto the car.
2. seller provides pictures of it on his/her car.

i dont care about the paint, unless it matches yours and want it on ASAP.

all i care about is if the kit fits nicely onto the car. thumbsup

yes, fitment is very important, also the condition of the kit as well...it all depends on the kit...

I'm driving down to take a look at it this weekend. According to the seller, there are some minor scratches on the rear and sides, otherwise it's in great condition. The fitment should be good since it's supposed to be an authentic kit, I will verify that as well. I've also seen pics of the kit on the car and the fitment seems great.
