i was wondering.. if i go NA with my GTS by switching out parts i/h/e and doing inturnals pistons ect. if done properly does that extend the life of the car? (putting in new parts)

where too a turbo puts more stress on parts pushing the engine to the limit?

i want my car to last like my integra which has 180k miles.. and is still going strong..

Doesn't really matter what you do to it... it's how you drive it that effects engine life! thumbsup

how many miles does everyone have on your Celicas? How do you drive?

i have 30k i rarely red line i bought the car at 28k and i red lined about 4 different times.. im scared that every time i red line the car it shortens the life.. is that true?

if you're engine hasn't heated up, yeah it can hurt. as long as it's not constant, it shouldn't shorten the life by that much. btw, i have 14,112 on my car (bought at 12,500). i red-line probably more than i should.

80K on mine.

you can get a nice turbo setup for around $5k and have around say 240 - 260 whp depending on how much you want to boost.

thats between $19- $20 per hp

go N/A you'll be lucky if you can hit 190 whp for about $3100
thats $16 per hp and you've got 50 - 70 whp less.

I've done most of the better mods and I've got 185 whp. highest I've heard of is 190. most people would get about 180.

i have 32000 and i rarely pass 5k rpm when i drive hard but i have redlined a couple times, maybe 12 in 10000 miles and when i do its just to the redline never past it, no problems at all with the engine just my maf sensor and tsb belt tensioner. my only real problems is with my car being too damn low thumbsdown
