Right now i have a custom axle-back exhaust with 2.5" piping. I was wondering if it would be worth the money to take it to a shop and get 2.5" mendrel bent piping to make it a cat back exhaust. So...would it be worth it? would i see any gain at all?

^for a turbo charged motor, yeah, it makes a lot of difference. for our N/A motor, you're not going to see a whole lot of difference...

I heard that on our celis it only improves the sound. Not much gains on the catback...
I was about to do it but a lot of people said it wasn't worth it for the performance

not worth it IMO. I went the free route and removed the stock muffler. have yet to see a cheaper exhaust perform better lol. it's basically the same as having a Kazuma exhaust only more quiet at idle lol

you wont see gains that will justify the cost. and thats IF you get any gains which I doubt you will.
