After driving a supercharged celica I think you would change your mind. However, it is probably way too much money since it is almost twice as much as a turbo. It is reliable from what I hear though.

A supercharger is easy on your engine, because the boost is consistant, there is no "lag" that you get from a turbo. Also less chance of detination because the s/c runs off a drive pulley and a turbo runs off exhaust. Ehaust=heat=ditentaion=bad thumbsdown. Thats is why all turbos should be intercooled (i know the blitz s/c is intercooled because all forced inductions systems create detination, turbos just create more) either by air to air or air to water intercoolers. And i think that the s/c would be easier to handle on the celica. with consistant boost you would still be able to handle lift. However i think that with turbo lag and lift you probably would not be able to put all the power to the ground in 1st or 2nd gear. But you do get much more hp gains with tubro because it is a free system where as a s/c does use a drive pulley to make hp, it robs a little hp to make a lot. For my money i would s/c but i would not kick a x-s tubro kit out of bed for eating crakers thumbsup

Fast, Cheap, Reliable

Pick two.

If it's Cheap and Fast, it's not Reliable.
If it's Fast and Reliable, it's now Cheap.
If it's Reliable and Cheap, it's not Fast.

Superchargers smooth out the powerband, look at dyno charts to understand what I mean. You can't have it all.
