so i was driving on the 91 freeway 12am going only 90 racing an eclipse when suddnely i hear a bunch of dragging under my car... i slow down immedietly and get off at the next exit pioneer artisia.. i stop by the nearest gas station (shell) and i look under my car.. shyt! my whole right side dirt guards were half off and dragging taking the guards connected to my front bumper along with it.. hmm.. all i need is some duck tape or something to cut off the guards or unscrew what its haging by.. i go to the window where this guy there who was some stupid ass asian guy who dosent know english.. and wont even help me.. and just tells me to go away... so i end up calling AAA and the guy comes in about 15 min and we jack up my car on one side and unscrew the two bolts it was hanging from and rip it off.. took about 1 min to fix..

anyway i wanted to know if yu guys keep yur dirt guards on.. i live in california so its dry.. (no salt from snow areas) i have 2 huge shields under where my oil filter and oil can thing is.. and more plastic connected to the front bumper.. should i get this replaced?

Thanks!

I'd rather have dirty plastic on the bottom of my car than a dirty engine.

^^^^ yeah...but I think he is talking about the mudflaps that are optional on our cars...the plastioc gimmick behind each wheel...like on trucks...I don't have them and my car is fine

Well, even here in the Phoenix area it rains sometimes. My tendency would be to replace it, mostly because I wouldn't want a lot of water splashing up into the engine compartment. This is more important for people with a CAI though. Depends on how picky you are.

You got to keep those plastic panels secured thoroughly or else they WILL fall off and it will be a pain in your ass
