What RPM is best to change gear in for optimum performance? I wanna know this instead of getting a Shift light

haha^ where does the car make most hp aka Example. 140@ 5000 rpm or so, go out and see what rpm you shift at to make it fall closest to that rpm

at least thats what makes sense to me

I usually shifted right before red line!! thumbsup Worked for me anyways!! It gives you more for the next gear instead of the next gear working it's way up slower... does that make any sense? confused

Would taht wear out the engine eventually or is the engine designed to take alll that RPM if you know wat i mean

Those engines are made to run thumbsup It's considered a sports car. Let me know when a sports car is supposed to be taken slow and easy confused GT or GTS, REDLINE THE BITCH!! grin

shit i havew a automatic gt and i put the bitch in 1st gear and ill punch it and hit readline if you hit it just right the wheels will chirpp i poop my pantz the first time i did that on an automatic!!!!

^^^ did that too. though i always shift before i hit redline, even if im racing someone in my auto gt. that way i dont feel bad about pushing her too hard. spineyes

it would feel better if my engine was done up a bit. at the moment its only stock so i dont like to push it to hard.

I dunno, I shift right before the engine changes its tone from the falling to the maxxing (decreasing)...
