Celica Forums General Discussion General Rear Drum HELP!

ok i took the rear drum off by hitting it with a hammer but how do i put it back in so its tight. cause right now the drum are not tight. the other side of the drum are tight. help me people...

Well, that's not really the right way to remove it. If you look at the drum there is a screw hole on it. You are supposed to put a screw into there and turn it until the drum comes off. That's why it's there...anyhow, make sure your e-brake isn't set, I would pop off the lid off the master cylinder. Then you can try to squeeze the rear pads in just enough to slip the drum back on.

i don't know what you mean. do you have a easy way to do it.

i think i told you before...adjust the star wheel on the bottom so the shoes grip the drum a little tighter but not too tight

FYI...well i own 4 disc brakes but the star wheel should be located on the bottom center..theres a thing that looks kinda like a bicycle gear, turn it and everytime you do it should click. if so thats the star wheel..very easy to do..good luck let me know if you got it
