It's freaking snowing today in Kansas City, Missouri. 6inch of snow have falling and my car is a sitting duck! My question here is what the best kind of tires to get. Snow tires or all season tires???? What's the con's and pro's of each. Thanx

i would jsut get studable snow tires i ahve them on now

snow tires= awsome in the snow and if you get stuck in mud or anything lol but when it gets nicer out you need new tires

all season= decent in the snow and normal driving nowhere near the traction that a snow tire has speicaly a studded one but you could drive them year round

i did snow tires casue the traction is amazing .. and i plan on getting new tires in the spring anyway (high performance summer)

hey thats a 20 minute phone call

If I only had one set of rims, I would probably stick with all-season tires. However, if you have aftermarket rims, chances are you have high-performance low-profile tires that even if they are rated "all season" aren't going to be very good on snow. When I bought my new rims and tires, I also got a set of snow tires (Blizzaks) put on my stock rims. They provide a huge improvement in handling on snow and ice compared to my Toyo Proxes. Even if you only have one set of rims, I'd probably still recommend getting a set of basic steel rims with snow tires if you do a lot of driving in the snow. I just wouldn't recommend swapping tires with one set of rims.
