How often do you change your oil?
Also, GT or GTS? year? driving habits?

toyota oil filters cost about $3-7 depending if you find them on sale or not. They also come with free oil plug gaskets

I change my own oil at 2500-3000 depending on how I am feeling, I use a fram oil filter cause they have been the easiest filter to come off that I could find that wouldnt put up a fight. And I have a 2000 GTS with almost 108,000 miles and no oil burning.

Where can you get toyota filters below $5? I remember a gb for a case of toyota filters that cost around that much each but that was back in 2001.

Depends on which fram you buy. The Fram i get has a higher pass efficiency than the Toyota Ones.
Fram Tuff Guard 99%
Toyota 98%

I dunno about you guys, but when I got to Autozone, Pepboys, Kragen, and etc. and I see those bottles that has colorfull ass pictures and states that it will do "this" or "that" for my car, I hella want to buy it. Do you know which one actually work, or if any? I remember posting about ZMax back in the day, but a lot of folks said that did not work.

about every 4 months - the synthetic oil helps out a lot when its -50 , your car has a better chance of starting.. not that thats an issue in CA
