might be sketchy with the auto...no one has ever tried it...I'd go with the c2power turbo (stage 1) if you wanted it tho

it's not so much the hp change, it's the necessity of internal/strength modifications. you NEED lower comp pistons, a larger intercooler, and various other things. so it's a price thing.

why can't you do it to an auto? Why wouldn't you want to increase the performance of an auto? There are many factory auto turbos, so if there is a reason NOT to do it, what would it be?

There should be sticky of threads not to start, and a FAQ with all the answers.

there are like 4 posts a week (at least) asking if so and so should turbo an auto. Some say not worth it, and then some say why not. what's new?

that and...

CEL from Injen/AEM intake?!!!
CAI went in puddle, engine won't run!!!
What ecu works for our cars/which one to get/what does each one do?
Should I get headers? (instead of header) Is it worth it?
Is it safe to run nitrous on a GTS? how much?
What is that grinding when I shift?
What is that squeaking sound from my engine?
misshift!!! Toyota won't honor warranty cry angry

I get my kicks on EC.

You can turbo an auto. Contrary to what someone else said in this thread, its been done a ton of times. You're going to make the same hp at the crank, the difference is the auto loses more power through the drivetrain, therefore you wont make as much to the wheels as a manual would. As for if its worth it, thats your own opinion.
