well i was talkin to this mechanic about my chrome wheels taking so much power, cz i had a gts with 15" and that thing roared.
he told me theres this thing called programmable perimeter, they basically hook up a machine to the OBD2 connection and put the settings of ur tire so ur ECU will respond better to ur tires.
he said it will improve gas mileage and it will make everything like stock. i was wondering if anyone knew about this, or if anyone did this mod.
i went to the toyota dealership, they had no idea wut im talkin about. i went to another good mechanic and told him about it and hes like yea, tahts right you can do something like that, and told me that the dealership should know.
anyone tried? im gonna call toyota tomorrow and find out about it.

depending on what size tires and wheels you do, you really shouldnt need that done, my girl went from the stock 15 to a 215-35-18 nd if you do the calculations, that wheel is les than 1/10th of an inch bigger, nothing to really fret about

my car must have been 16, now its 17. chrome heavy rims.
i had a gts with 15", that thing roared and this pulls like a camry comparing to my old one. im gonna do my best to improve the acceleration. im soon gonna change the rims to another 17, maybe some lightweight rims, but im going for looks and a bit performance, good looking rims usually weigh more.
comparing to stock, my tires are lower profile, wider zr rated. im assuming wideness makes some difference also

all that does is tell ur ecu that your tire size changed... therefor it makes your gauges accurate...

nothing else...

... 99% of the time they are used on trucks that get huge tires.
