makes the engine stiffer. wont move as much in the engine bay. will make your car drive a little ruffer, but will make the car drive more like a racecar.

lol... a dampner is on the crankshaft right behind the crank pulley...yes it does stop your engine from moving from side to side, and almost ALL new cars have them, especially the imports, you usally wont find them on older domestic cars (especially ford's), but taking them off will greatly decrease the engine life, and yes taking it off will make your car shake like a "mofo", our engines have one, and that little extra "engine mount" will not do anything to stop your engine from shaking, nor is that a dampner...
