There is a short in the electrical when you put the MTecs. When I had my old car I kept replacing the fuses, And the second I replaced it and turned on the lights POP. Check with an electrician. It cost me 150 to fix.

i've had my Mtecs for about a year now - still shining bright.

though I bought mine from ebay, before I even new ECelica existed. spineyes

i'd most likely try out EuroDesignz (DJ Curtis wave ) or Piaa (XMANGT1 wave ) they provided great pictures of showing the difference from MTEC and the other brands.

mtecs blow, you pay for what you get (PIAA=over $100, MTEC=$50). The short is in the connector that plugs into the adapter where the bulb plug is. Clean it with break cleaner real good and no more blown fuses.

Same stuff happened to me, those damn MTECS shorted out my entire headlight system! angry

you also have to be careful with the lower end " hyper white " bulbs, they jack up the wattage and most of the time your stock lighting harness cant handle that, be glad you are just blowing fuses and not melting the harness, blown fuses are trying to tell you something, i would do like the others suggested, go with piaa, you pay a hell of a lot for them but you definately get what you pay for, ll those no names and cheapy ebay bulbs will cause trouble eventualy down the road, down sacrifice safety for a better look, you will pay a hell of a lot more to have the light harness' replaced than you will pay for that $100 set of piaa's , i know some companies offer thicker head light harnesses sorry i dont know any of the names, but if your bulbs are drawing more current, you should put thicker wires, so there is less resistance, easiest way to put it is, would you rather drink a milk shake with a cofee stirer, or a milk shake straw? a milke shake straw because you get a better flow, also like trying to put out a fire with a garden hose, not enough flow, you wont get positive results

this is interesting that weve been selling MTECH for the past almost 2 years now and only as recently as 4 months have people been posting issues... there has got to be something that has changed all within the past 4 months. Things were NOT like this before with this brand cry

Im still working off the same mtech HIGH and LOWS that were installed to my car over a year ago... wtf

Francy, you have PM wave

i agree with isaac. if you can't install a decent set of bulbs, they're going to go out. i've tried tons of light bulbs. some of them i got sick of it and swap it out with something else. never had a blown light bulb yet, and i've doing light bulbs for 4 yrs. my paseo have the PIAA extreme white for 3yrs, never had a problem. until last year i decided to upgrade to the extreme force. hence, did the same thing with my celica since earlier this year. there are some factory dectives here and there, but it's only a small %. in many cases, it's the end-user installing the bulbs incorrectly...

Maybe MTEC cheanged their bulbs, and aren't making them as well anymore. Anyone know a good place to get HID's?
