Curious if anyone has had a problem with a noise coming from the Tach. Sounds like a cable noise, like a vibration/squeeling/spinning noise. Its not real loud, doesn't do it all the time, and will stop when the rpms go down on a shift. I think its the tach. Any ideas on how to silence it? Thanks

It's your drive belt. Toyota's had this issue. go to edmunds.com and read up under car reviews on the celica. Says that if you go to your dealership, yo ucan get it replaced on warranty. That's what I did. It bugged the shit outta me.

^^^thanks but thats not it...I changed the belt last summer, put on a gatorbelt, tensioner is fine. It is the tach cable, not something outside. I guess no-one else has has this so I'll tear the bastard apart tomorrow! Thanks anyway.
