Ok, I need a little help here, I think I know the problem, just wanna make sure. Now I got the Double Pod from Ecelica.com store, and it's fiberglass already primed, now I dremeled the holes to make the gauges fit, and all is well, I painted the pillar black cause I could find the blue to make the other one. Everything is cool...now I go to home depot and find a blue that looks pretty close, so I go home and paint it, and then clear coat it. Then while trying to install it I noticed the water Temp cord (that metal one) had dug grooves into the paint on the pillar, and now my fingers are moving the paint. Now I let it dry, so it's not the problem...what I think it is, is that I didn't sand the black paint before painting the blue and clear, does this sound like the solution, or am I missing something to painting this bitch, cause I am pissed, I had the whole damn car apart for this little project and everything was going smoothly. Well a little serious help would be most appericated.

if everything is exactly the way you want it... let it sit for about 24 hours... if the paint is still wet after siting, then you may have too many layers of paint, or you may have prematurely aplied the second coat of your paint, OR you may have two different types of paint that will not bond with each other. either way, if your project isnt turning out the way you want it to turn out - remove what paint you can, then do a wet-sand of the parts and finaly after everything is COMPLETELY DRY, start from scratch with only your single color.
