Good things and Bad things about LIghtweight Flywheel?

Well I know that it is lighter and says to improve Hp. But is thier any compromise in this. Like clutch wear? Engaugement easier or more dificult? I guess just all good and bad things about a lighter flywheel.

lightweight flywheels just helps the engine bring more hp to the wheels. for rally and road racing, the lightest flywheel would be the best advantage. but in drag racing it will effect launch. it just helps rev faster and also respond quicker to clutch engagement..therefore, low-torque high revving engines sometimes need the mass of a heavy flywheel to launch more smoothly rather than bogging down off the line. <-- that's what i know about how the flywheel will effect ur car..clutch ware just depends on how powerful your engine is and what type of clutch you're using..obviously, the more power your engine puts out, the more hold your clutch set should provide.

The lighter the flywheel you go the more rpms you will need to keep they car from stalling. Its very minimal though. Your clutch is going to see more wear, but if you lighten your flywheel hopefully you are going to be also buying a better clutch, so that will ofset the added wear.

Minnesota....Yaa!!!
If you have a lightweight flywheel you are actually putting less stress on the crank.

Since I have a GTS will this shorten up lift? Or how will it affect it? Will I be able to land lift easier or will it take more? Thanks guys.

lift will be the same as before, however, when you shift the rpm's will go down quicker than before making it harder to land lift for you.
